The Savannah Repertory Theatre is relocating!!! They are currently remodeling the former Southern Motors Acura Dealership building on the corner of Broughton and Habersham. Will keep you updated on this when we have more information regarding an opening date.
Broughton Market is also relocating. They will still be on Brought Street but are moving into a much larger space and will be able to offer two floors of liquor, wine and beer. YES, liquor!!! They plan to start offering tastings at some point in the near future as well. Stay tuned.

Phil the Garden: On Sunday, June 20th, “Phil the Garden” at Trustees’ Garden, a celebratory concert event is perfect for the whole family. Food trucks, a station where kids (or kids at heart) can create their own instruments, and a concert full of classical hits with Keitaro Harada leading the full orchestra. The pre-concert activities start at 5:30 p.m. followed by a one-hour concert beginning at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10.

WW LAW’S NEGRO HERITAGE TRAIL: Westley Wallace Law (1923-2002) was born in Savannah, Georgia, in an era of great inequality and social injustice. He earned a modest income as a postman and would become an icon of civil rights as a historian, teacher, preservationist and an inspiring presence in the community. This display sheds light on a unique aspect of Law’s legacy, with documents and images capturing the inception and early years of the Negro Heritage Trail in historic Savannah. Law designed the tour to support the King Tisdell Cottage which he saved from demolition, throwing Savannah into the national spotlight along with major cities such as Washington and New York to offer a guided black heritage tour. ROYAL FLUSH CASINO NIGHT – BENEFITING HABITAT FOR HUMANITY
Roto-Rooter Plumbers of Savannah will present its Second Annual Royal Flush Casino Night on Thursday, Feb. 27, benefiting the Coastal Empire Habitat for Humanity.
The casino-themed party will take place at the Savannah Station, 601 Cohen St., and will feature heavy hors-d’oeuvres, an open bar, live music by the Mainstreet Dance Band and complimentary casino games including Blackjack, Roulette, Craps, Texas Hold’em and Wheel of Fortune. Individual tickets for the event are $60; tickets for couples are $90. The tables will open promptly at 7 p.m.
Each guest will receive $15,000 in “funny-money” chips when they arrive. Additional chips may be purchased throughout the evening as guests will be able to put their chips towards raffle tickets for a drawing to win prizes worth more than $15,000, including $2,000 in cash. U.S. NAVY BAND: The United States Navy Band touring show is quite the musical feast for the eyes and ears, featuring not one, not two, but THREE of their renowned ensembles direct from Washington, D.C! In addition to the world-renowned Concert Band, their wonderful Sea Chanters Chorus and the electrifying Cruisers’ popular music group will also be performing live in this all-new show that will have something for the whole family. Our national tour initiative provides us the opportunity to reach out to audiences in areas of the country that may not see the great things that America’s Navy’s is doing out in the fleet on a regular basis. OH MY STARS! AN ASTRONOMY PROGRAM: Come see things through a different lens! Fort Pulaski National Monument is excited to host the Oglethorpe Astronomical Association Savannah Astronomy, a local astronomy club, who will have telescopes of all sizes for you to observe the night sky from the darkness of Cockspur Island. The event will be held Friday, February 28th from 6:30-8:30 PM. There will be no charge for this event. SEUSS FEST: On Saturday, February 29th, local families are invited to celebrate the fun and whimsical world of Dr. Seuss during “Seuss Fest” at the Savannah Children’s Museum. Event attendees are encouraged to dress as their favorite Dr. Seuss character in honor of the children’s book author, who would be celebrating his 116th birthday on March 2nd. Museum educators and community partners will be providing fun and educational Seuss-themed activities throughout the day. 10am – 3pm. Regular Museum rates apply ($8 per person).
